First piece of mini series, drawing quick portraits in under an hour sourced from a photo, but working from the with the image placed upside down. Often I’ve placed my canvases upside down when using visual sources, it helps to get a different sense of perspective – looking at shape and colour instead trying to replicate an object which already holds a preconceived image of what it is supposed to look like…

                                  

And a painting in the works since October, I’ve done three sittings with it but need one more to finish it up. Laura, if you’re reading this, yes it’s you, you cool girl.
